Bio

Dave was born in Eugene, Oregon, but spent his formative years in Amherst, MA and eventually attended Oberlin College. After a summer beneath the Tetons, teaching in the Black Hills, travel through Central America, and treks across southern Idaho, Dave finally came back east to join the Cambridge folk scene. He completed his first CD several years later.
As a result, Dave was selected as a finalist for both the Mountain Stage and Falcon Ridge emerging artists' competition. "The Burn of Summer" enjoyed regular airtime on Folk Radio's WUMB and Emerson College's WERS. Several years later, Dave returned to the Pioneer Valley,home of strong coffee, and strong women. Dave will be releasing his 2nd CD "Gilding the Lilies" on September 20th, 2011. Look for shows celebrating the event.
